The Ötztalstraße B 186 is a state road in Austria and connects the Tyrolean Inn Valley with the Ötztal.Until the middle of the 19th century, the road into the Ötztal was only passable as far as Längenfeld. In 1895, the Tyrolean state parliament decided to build a road through the Ötztal to the Passeier valley. From 1898, with financial support from the state, the path was expanded into a passable road
