The route is scenically very beautiful, but more time-consuming. You have to leave Croatia briefly and drive about 20 km through the country of Bosnia and the Bosnian town of Neum.

After a few kilometers you are back in Croatia and can continue your journey to the Peljesac peninsula.

However, the more comfortable and time-saving option is to take the ferry to the island of Peljesac from the departure port of Ploce (mainland) to the island town of Trpanj, which is usually used.
